My name is André Miegies, I am 42 years and live together with my lovely wife Wilma and dog Juno in a small town called Soest, situated in the center of Holland.

For me fishing is a way of life, I have been fishing now for almost 38 years, for the last 25 years it has been with the flyrod only. Most of my flyfishing is for pike, perch, bream, roach, ide and rudd.

Flytying is something I enjoy even more! Most of my tying are fishing flies but I also tie classic salmonflies and some realistic things.

Working with different kinds of materials and create something you can fool a fish with, feels great!

I am a member of the Dutch Flyfishing Association ( VNV), a member of the Dutch Association of Advanced Fly Tyers ( DAAFT), a member of a digital flyfishing club and a member of my local club,

And I am also a member of the Partridge pro-team.

I give lots of tying demonstrations at different kind of fairs in the Netherlands, but have also tied in England, Ireland, Norway and Belgium.

In the Netherlands I mostly flyfish in the big rivers and lakes. I have fished in Belgium, France, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Canada and Norway. Norway really stole my heart.

Besides fishing and tying I also enjoy nature, photographing birds, insects and the bigger animals, always with my loyal dog Juno at my side.
